Stever’s customer reviews

My first three customer reviews are in – and they’re all 1 star. In fact, the reviews are rather scathing. For my readers who don’t already know, I have a headshot business in North Hollywood (soon to be an internet center). Up until recently, my headshots were kinda crappy. Also, my prices are nothing special. And apparently, my customer service skills are terrible. Yet, I’m seeing a consistent increase in sales – about 6% a month growth. This is very, very high.

I don’t get it. . .

Steve was not at all helpful and very rude! I tried to print my headshots here because I liked the price (in this economy, who doesn’t want to save a few bucks?) and it’s close to where I live. At first he thought my name at the bottom of the shot was a mistake because it was running into the border. I told him no that it was a creative decision, but I appreciated him calling me before printing to make sure. The paper quality was low-grade and the print was super grainy. When I asked him about it, he blamed my photographer and said something about a bad filter, all the while skirting the blame away from his poor-quality print. While other examples he showed me were not great, they were better than mine, but he refused to help and just kept blaming the image and my photographer. I had no idea where his logic was coming from – I know digital photography – he was just trying to avoid taking responsibility. “I just print what I’m given,” he said. After a long discussion, wherein I was very reasonable, calm, and willing to find a suitable solution, finally I told him I couldn’t use the bad prints, to which he replied, “then f*cking get out!” I was AGHAST at his rudeness and am never going there again, much less recommending it to anyone! Not to mention that I can print better quality shots on my printer at home than what I got there!

I have tried using NoHo Prints a couple of times, mainly because it is right around the corner from where I live. The first time I went he treated me like an idiot and basically refused to print my headshot. I finally had to force him to print it. Then he critized how poor quailty the photo was and that his machine didn’t do it… I get how pixels work.. thank you. Then my theatre company needed post cards printed, not only was it hard to get any questions answered (he was eating) it was super expensive and had NO rush options. I would rather go over the hill and find someone, than ever use him again.‎
