The reopening after covid-19

This is what’s going to happen. 60% of us are going to get covid-19 at this point. And the numbers, if calculated honestly, will not reflect anywhere near the fatality numbers as first reported on commercial news sources. And everyone’s going to get it, 99% of the people will say “it was pretty mild”, and then everyone is going to feel stupid for quarantining all that time. Then cognitive dissonance will kick in, and people will start blaming some stupid third-party source like the Russians, or the Chinese, the “racists”, or nazis or something stupid like that. And many innocent people will be unfairly villified, which will be amplified by pop-culture social networks such as twitter. All just so that they can get us to click on things and sell us more ads.

I have a very low opinion of social networks.
